Start with identity, not a shopping result
Read the full model and regional SKU from every battery and charger you own. Search the exact identifier and compare the product page with the label in your hand. DeWalt describes 20V MAX as a defined platform [1], Milwaukee publishes separate compatibility rules for M12 and M18 [2], and Makita documents LXT as its own 18V slide-style system [3]. A lookalike is not a safe replacement for an absent model.
Translate jobs into requirements
List the work first: drilling, fastening, cutting, sanding, or another supported capability. Then record only equipment you actually own and its quantity. The Builder can reuse confirmed items, but browsing a product or adding it to Compare does not mark it as owned. Keep wish-list products separate from the garage so the resulting setup does not assume equipment that is unavailable.

If a kit is considered, decompose it into tool, battery, charger, and quantities. A compatible tool relationship does not prove that every charger supports the pack, and a charger that supports two systems does not make those systems interchangeable.
