Decode tool-only and kit listings without assuming suffixes, batteries, chargers, quantities, or package contents.
The package model is part of product identity
A bare tool and a kit can share the same core tool while remaining different products. DeWalt DCF845B is a tool-only impact driver [1], while DCF845P1 is a kit with its own model and included battery, charger and bag [2]. Searching only “DCF845” does not confirm either package. The full regional SKU, suffix, quantity and included models must agree.

At this review, Etrenank decomposes three DeWalt kits, four Makita kits and five Milwaukee kits. They range from one-tool packages to multi-tool sets. The count describes this US catalog snapshot, not every kit sold by the manufacturers. Each kit page exposes its recorded tools, batteries, charger and non-catalog accessories as separate components.

Decomposition preserves what the source does not say
DeWalt's DCK2101QQ1WW1 page identifies the two tools and batteries but describes the included charger without publishing its model [3]. Etrenank therefore leaves that charger's model unknown instead of borrowing one from another kit. “Includes a charger” and “includes charger DCB115” are different claims.
Tool count does not describe the whole package
Makita XMT04R1B is a one-tool kit that names an XMT04ZB multi-tool, BL1820B battery, DC18RC charger and accessory set [4]. Milwaukee 3697-27 is a seven-tool kit with named tools, two batteries, charger and bags [5]. Neither “one-piece” nor “seven-piece” alone tells you battery capacity, charger model, accessory quantity or whether a seller added something.

- Compare every retailer model and quantity with the manufacturer package.
- If any component changes, treat the result as a different seller bundle.
